THE WORLD DOESN'T HAVE A SHORTAGE OF COMPLAINTS. IT HAS A SHORTAGE OF PEOPLE WILLING TO BE PART OF THE SOLUTION! It's amazing how easy it is for people to point out somebody else's mistakes, criticize how somebody else does their job, or complain about everything that's wrong with the world. But when it's time to address the problems happening in their own homes, communities, or lives, suddenly everybody gets quiet! Let me give you an example. You'll go to a restaurant and raise absolute HELL because your food took 20 minutes longer than expected. You'll demand a manager, threaten to leave a bad review, and complain about how nobody wants to work anymore. BUT WAIT A MINUTE! You've got an 18, 19, 20, or even 25-year-old sitting at home, eating up all the groceries, running up the electricity bill, playing video games all day, and making absolutely NO effort to work, contribute, or become independent. Yet somehow, the restaurant employee trying to keep up with 30 orders is the biggest problem in your day? MAKE THAT MAKE SENSE! You're demanding accountability from strangers while making excuses for the lack of accountability under your own roof! And that's exactly what's wrong with society today. We're so busy criticizing the people around us that we forget to look at what WE could be doing differently. Everybody wants better customer service, better communities, better leadership, better opportunities, and a better world. BUT WHO'S WILLING TO DO THE WORK TO MAKE THINGS BETTER? Instead of constantly complaining about short-staffed businesses, encourage somebody in your household to get out there and become part of the workforce. Instead of complaining about your community, get involved. Instead of pointing fingers at everybody else's problems, start addressing the ones you actually have the power to change. Because the truth is, you cannot demand change from the world while refusing to create change in your own environment.
